The Marker, 2013
Charcoal on paper on modular frames

The Marker is a modular sculpture made from interchangeable portrait elements, based on images of figures from the Israeli economy. Initiated in 2013, it has developed as an ongoing working method rather than a fixed object. The work does not depict a single person, but produces a composite head through a system of movable parts, allowing it to shift in scale and configuration from a small sculptural unit to a larger installation.
